About Us

Located in the heart of Nashville, Simply Balanced is Nashville’s premiere wellness center offering Pilates equipment classes. Whether you are an exercise novice or a seasoned athlete, a twenty-something or a grandparent, our dedicated team is here to help you transform the way your body looks, feels, and performs. At Simply Balanced, wellness is integrative and balanced. We believe Pilates can work to strengthen, rehabilitate, challenge, and revitalize your body.

Simply Balanced offers a variety of group classes, ranging from Beginner to Advanced levels, on the Pilates reformer, Chair & Jump Board. We also offer one-on-one Pilates, post-injury rehabilitation, and a highly acclaimed Pilates Teacher Training program.

Our facility includes spacious mat rooms, equipment rooms, convenient changing rooms for the client on-the-go, as well as free parking. Our main focus at Simply Balanced is to help you live a lifestyle that is well balanced in all areas.


 

What Is Pilates?

Pilates is an innovative and safe exercise technique that requires mind/body coordination while using a mat or a variety of equipment. It evolved from the Joseph Pilates method and can dramatically transform the way your body looks, feels and performs. Pilates principles include breathing, concentration, control, centering, precision, whole body movement, balanced muscle development, rhythm and flow and relaxation.

First Time?

We always recommend starting out in a private session so you have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Pilates. Also, you will feel more comfortable when you move into group classes. You are not required to begin with a private session and are more than welcome to try a Beginner Reformer class. All of our teachers are extensively trained in working with all levels of experience.

 


What Do I Wear?

Wear anything you can move comfortably in! Nothing too loose or too tight. Anything you might wear to the gym or a yoga class will be perfect. You will have the option of being barefoot or wearing socks. No shoes required.

Can I Do Pilates If I Am Pregnant?

Absolutely! All of our teachers are trained extensively to work safely and effectively with pregnant and post-pregnant clients. Please notify your instructor of your condition prior to class so that appropriate modifications can be made.

 


How Do I Sign Up?

It’s really easy!  Simply click the button below to see the schedule and to sign up!

First, you will need to create a username and password, then pick the classes you would like to attend. Finally, pay online and you’re all set! Email Lindsey at info@sbalanced.com to schedule private, duet, trio or group sessions.
